THE SILENT CODES
They have always been there, passed down in silence.
A book and ongoing investigation into how we create, perceive and experience places.
THE SILENT CODES examines ten territories that shape the experience of place. Moving through architecture, hospitality, design, culture and everyday environments, it asks why decisions exist, what they produce in the people who experience them, and how they work together. It proposes no style and no formula. The purpose is to develop judgement: to understand more consciously why a decision exists, whether it belongs to its context and what it produces.
